While this wasn’t the outcome our boys were hoping for, the Hornet community is incredibly proud of the grit and spirit the football team brought to our Fall season. A lot could be said about their Cinderella story where they started the season with 3 straight losses and then pulled a complete turnaround where they won 7 out of their last 9 games and made it to the semifinals for the first time in school history. The teamwork, togetherness, heart, and fight allowed the Hornets to overcome a lot of adversity throughout the season. While the season ended in defeat, the entire team has plenty of reasons to keep their heads high.

To add to the strong season, lots of All-District Nominations went to the Hornets:

  • Rahshan LaMons ’24 and Justin Smith ’24 were named 1st Team All-District for Offense
  • Justin Smith ’24 also received 1st Team All-District honors for Defense
  • Nasir Obey ’22 and Michael Stevenson ’25 were named 2nd Team All-District for Offense
  • Matt Homer ’23, Nasir Obey ’22, and Rahshan LaMons ’24 received 2nd Team All-District for Defense
  • Justin Smith ’24 received District Lineman of the Year
  • Rahshan LaMons ’24 and Justin Smith ’24 were named 2nd Team All-State for the 1A Division
