This past weekend the Boys and Girls Swim Teams had outstanding performances at their respective State Meets. Every Hornet swimmer had personal best times.

Sophomore Niles Commodore led the Boys Team to a 16th place finish in the state. Commodore finished 6th in the 100 Fly with a PR 52.80 and 11th in the 100 Breast. The 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay of Commodore, Senior Briggs Light, Freshman Ryan Christopher, and 8th Grader Blake Erkenbrecher placed 9th. The Hornets came back from behind on the last leg to win the Consolation Heat in both relays. Light (200 Free, 500 Free), Christopher (50 Free, 100 Free), and Erkenbrecher (200 Free, 500 Free) all also had personal best times in their individual events. Additionally, Niles was named 2nd Team All-State for his performance this weekend.

The Girls Team was led by 8th Grader Anna Hammerschmidt, who was competing in her first State Meet for Tatnall. Hammerschmidt placed 13th in the 200 IM with a PR and 12th in the 100 Breast. Also competing in her first State Meet was Freshman Stella Petersen, who had personal bests in both of her individual events (200 Free, 100 Free).
