Last Saturday, our Hornets Football team got their first win of the season against John Dickinson High School. Our boys looked reenergized as they suited up to take the field. After scoring on their first drive the Hornets never looked back. Offensively, our boys scored 4 touchdowns, Special Teams contributed 2 more touchdowns, while the defense held the Rams scoreless. Some individual highlights include sophomore Rahshan LaMons ’24 rushing for a total of 134 total yards and scoring 3 touchdowns, while freshman Jude Maycole ’25 recovered a blocked punt and ran it in for a touchdown. On the defensive end, sophomore Justin Smith ’24 had 7 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss of yardage, and 2 sacks.
The team is currently 1-3 and itching to keep up this winning streak as they face Delcastle High School on Saturday, October 9.
