June 17 - 21Ceramics Camp (Half-day morning)
It's time to get messy in the Ceramics room! Campers will get to experience the use of our pottery wheels and much more in the ceramics room! Projects will range from creating functional ware to cartoon sculptures. Please wear old clothing because we will be getting dirty. Clay projects will be available for pick-up on July 23, 2024, in the Beekley Lobby.

Child Drama Workshop: Alice in Wonderland (Full-day)
Alice in Wonderland, written by Lewis Carroll, is a classic and well-loved children’s story that is perfect for performing as a play. The characters that Alice meets in Wonderland are fascinating character studies that your child can embrace. The Cheshire Cat, The Caterpillar, and the Mad Hatter are just a few of the characters that your child may become. There will be singing, dancing, and acting incorporated to create an original theatrical stage version of Alice in Wonderland. Thrills and opportunities await as your child explores this new world with their imagination. Professional choreography or stage combat will be included in this week-long ensemble-building camp. A play will be shared on the last day of camp with parents and peers, complete with costume accessories, props, make-up, and a souvenir program. This camp is designed for both beginner and more advanced students. So, join us as we fall through the rabbit hole with our girl Alice!

Your child will explore the art of acting and pretending in this play-based educational theatre camp. Participating young thespians will explore a variety of arts, including acting, singing, visual art (sets), and creative movement while creating an original improvisationally based play. Thrills and opportunities await as your child explores this new world with their imagination! Camp curriculum and approaches are based on the book "Encouraging Your Child's Imagination: Stories for Play Acting," by Dr. Carol Bouzoukis, Child Drama Workshops' Executive Director. Favorite childhood stories will be selected based on your child's individualized interests. An original play will be shared on the last day of camp with parents and peers, complete with costume accessories, make-up, and a program. Perfect for the rockers-to-be, Rookies learn music fundamentals like chords, rhythm and song structure. Campers get to learn and experiment with multiple instruments, including guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals. This week will end with a rock show for families, of course! This half-day morning camp can be paired with our traditional day camp for a full day camp experience.

This camp is specifically designed to engage your child in the art of acting. Through theater games, stage movement, and improvisation, your child will create an original play production to be shared with parents and peers on the last day of camp. All campers will be encouraged to brainstorm as a part of the creative ensemble-building process. The student cast’s abilities and interests will determine the play’s topic, theme, and characters. Singing, dancing, and acting will be incorporated together to create an original theatrical stage play. The Art of Skateboarding (Half-day morning)
Skateboarders, get ready for an action-packed week! Our mornings will be divided between learning beginning to intermediate-level tricks and the artsy side of skate culture (photography, graffiti, and ceramics). We will spend a couple of days off-campus at the local skateparks, putting our skills to the test. Safety is a must for this camp! All art supplies will be provided, but campers must bring their own skateboard and helmet. Protective gear (knee/elbow pads, etc.) is recommended but not required. All levels are welcome. A detailed schedule and locations will be sent out the Sunday before.

Based on the popular and award-winning children’s series “Bluey,” your child will explore the art of acting and pretending in this play-based, educationally interactive camp. Your child can become any of their favorite Bluey characters as they romp through summer adventures! All of the Bluey characters will be brought to life on stage with your child’s imagination! Your child will work with a professional Educational Theatre Director, focusing on the art of improvisation through individualized instruction. At Tatnall, the opportunity to learn and grow and to prepare for college and for life is not limited to the classroom.
Whether a student is an elite athlete or is trying a sport for the first time, every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and compete during Tatnall’s sports camps.
Excellence Tennis Academy (Half-day and Full-day available)
Excellence Tennis Academy Director David Taylor will lead this camp alongside experienced and skilled coaches. The camp will be broken into two mini-camps: Beginner/Intermediate Camp and Advanced Training. The beginner and intermediate group will learn stroke techniques, rules, and court awareness, while the advanced group will focus on training for tournaments and high school tennis by practicing footwork skills, fitness, and mental strategy. Each morning will be filled with drills, followed by lunch, swimming, and match play in the afternoon.

Wrestling Camp (Half-day morning)
This week-long, half-day camp would establish basic wrestling skills and understanding of rules and scoring, as well as fundamental takedowns, escapes, and pinning combinations. Campers would also be exposed to the elements of physical fitness needed for wrestling success and will be given basic, playful, body-weight-only routines to develop flexibility, core strength, and overall strength: crawling, running, leaping, climbing, and throwing. Wrestling develops the lifelong skills of fitness, discipline, and resilience, and your child can begin their wrestling journey on this proven path to success this summer.

Soccer Shots is a national leader in youth soccer development. Our nationally recognized program offers a high-energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer. Our innovative curriculum emphasizes both soccer skills and character development. Campers will enjoy exclusive Soccer Shots' games and be challenged throughout the week to improve their basic soccer skills. This summer's camp theme will be "Celebrate the Cup!" as the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team competes in the World Cup in June and July!

Outdoor Adventure Camp (Full-day and one overnight)
Experience the healthy thrill of nature and outdoor activity! Seize the summer days with this camp session, which begins with orientation scavenger hunts and team building on Tatnall's state-of-the-art ropes course.
