Katie is Tatnall's fifth Gatorade Delaware Girls Cross Country Player of the Year, and Ben is Tatnall's third Delaware Boys Cross Country Player of the Year.

Katie won the State Championship this year with a time of 17:37.6, beating the second-place winner by 38 seconds and leading Tatnall to the team title. Likewise, Ben won the Boys State meet for a fifth straight time this year with a time of 15:27.7, winning by 20.7 seconds and boosting the Hornets to the team title.

Both Katie and Ben have maintained an A average in the classroom. In the fall, Katie will continue to pursue her academic and athletic career at the University of Virginia, and Ben will head to Columbia, where he will compete in cross country and track.
