Tatnall 7, Odessa High School 3 - Wednesday, May 4 @ Tatnall

On Thursday, May 5, Tatnall Baseball traveled to Sanford on Thursday afternoon and wound up in an old-fashioned pitchers duel. Andrew Scott ‘22 scattered ten hits in the complete-game effort with five strikeouts and 0 walks while the defense played well.  Unfortunately, the Hornets’ offense met their match on this day with only Scott and Eli Halverson-Frazier collecting hits, and the final score ended Sanford 2, Tatnall 0.

After a rainout on Saturday, the Hornets returned to Kohler Field to take on the Green Knights of Mount Pleasant High School on Tuesday, May 10. Tre Marcoz ‘24 surrendered five hits and three runs in the complete-game victory.  The Tatnall offense broke out the bats early today and scored in every inning.  Michael Mcginley ‘24, Andrew Scott, and Brody Clayton ‘22 all had multiple hits and runs scored.  Scott drove in 5 on the day, and Clayton stole two bases.  To complete the Hornets' scoring line, Jimmy Catalano ‘24 and Elliot Bishop scored 2 and 3 runs, respectively. The final score was Tatnall 13, Mount Pleasant 3.

Tatnall will host Wilmington Charter on Thursday and travel to St. Andrew’s on Saturday before completing a home and home with the Saints on Tuesday.
