This week was a busy one for the Hornets Girls Basketball Team!
Last Saturday, February 5, the girls pulled out a win by the skin of their teeth after traveling down to Delmarva Christian. A thrilling game that went back-and-forth the entire game. However, Sophie Kirby '22 made the game-winning layup at 3.6 seconds, pushing the Hornets ahead to win 33-35.

Following this, on Monday, February 7, our girls traveled to play St. Andrews. Our girls breezed by the competition as they walked away with a 50-14 win. This game featured a standout performance by Jamie Cella '26, who out-rebounded and out-worked girls that were heads and shoulders taller than her. Jamie is starting to hit her stride with the Hornets.

Right after this win away, our girls were happy to finally play on their home court Tuesday, February 8, against conference rival Tower Hill. Our girls fed off the energy of finally having a home crowd and executed incredible basketball. Our girls, once again, handled the pressure and walked away with a solid win 57-24. Kali Clayton '23 was absolutely unstoppable as she dropped 13 points off strong drives to the net and soft pull-up floaters.
