On Thursday, March 31, the boy’s lacrosse team took a trip across town to face-off against conference foe, Tower Hill. The boys found themselves trailing early 2-0 before the offense responded with a goal by Rahshan Lamons ‘24 (assist by Kayden Johnson ‘26). With time winding down in the first quarter Charlie Simpers ‘22 found the back of the net on an assist by Jace Banks ‘25 to tie the game at 2. After a back-and-forth 2nd quarter, the Hornets would carry a one-goal lead into the half with the score 6-5. After a rollercoaster of a 3rd quarter, the game was tied 9-9 going into the final quarter of play. The Hornets would take a 3 goal lead in the 4th quarter but would eventually lose by one after a late rally by Tower Hill put them ahead 13-12.

After a tough loss, the boys looked to rally as they played their first home game of the season on Tuesday, April 5,  against another competitive conference rival, Wilmington Friends. The Hornets got out to a 3 goal lead early in the first quarter, but Friends would answer back to take the lead 8-6 at the half.  The Hornets would cut the deficit to one late in the fourth quarter but came up short, losing by a final score of 12-9.

Boys lacrosse is hungry for a “W” and are prepping intensively for their next opponent.
