Last Thursday, Field Hockey was ready for redemption after their second loss of the season. The Hornets came out with a bang and played a fantastic game with goal scoring and assists across the board. Our defense and goalie successfully kept St. Andrew's from getting any points on the board. While offensively, Charlotte Wilkinson ’25 had a standout performance and a hat trick.
The following Saturday, Tatnall took on Sanford at the Turf Bowl played on the University of Delaware's turf. We played conference rival Sanford and won 5-0. Scoring came from multiple different scorers this weekend, and defense, again, had another successful game with a shut out which would continue their win streak.
Then, this Tuesday, our girls matched up against a formidable opponent in Padua. However, our girls were hungry to continue their winning streak on their home turf and did so with another shut-out. The Hornets toppled Padua with a 2-0 win with continued team efforts from everyone on the field, defense to offense. Junior Kali Clayton ’23 had both goals.
Our girls are currently 8-2 and look forward to remaining undefeated at home today, October 14, against another one of our conference rivals Tower Hill.
